Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students
Social inclusion : With a respect for different cultures, we invite NCS students and their parents to participate in traditional Chinese festival activities in order to foster cultural exchange and form a deep bond with each other. We also adopt different teaching strategies to trigger NCS students’ interests in learning Chinese.
Campus environment:The Chinese learning resources in the classroom, including teaching materials, wall games and books, are effective in motivating NCS students to learn Chinese.
Story-telling:We tell stories to instill an interest of learning Chinese in NCS students and help them learn basic words and phrases used in everyday life.
Study buddy:We encourage local children to make friends with NCS to support the integration of NCS into the classroom and promote their Chinese language skills.
