We have been joining the On-site Pre-school Rehabilitation Services provided by the Social Welfare Department since 2019. Adopting the family-centred approach, professionals from “Let’s Stride Child Development Centre” of Tsung Tsin Mission Of Hong Kong, including speech therapists, occupational therapists and special child care workers, provide support for parents on knowledge and skills in raising children with special needs. Through early identification and early intervention, coupled with the implementation of different strategies, the professional team helps children unleash their potentials to the fullest.

Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students

  1. Social inclusion : With a respect for different cultures, we invite NCS students and their parents to participate in traditional Chinese festival activities in order to foster cultural exchange and form a deep bond with each other. We also adopt different teaching strategies to trigger NCS students’ interests in learning Chinese.
  2. Campus environment:The Chinese learning resources in the classroom, including teaching materials, wall games and books, are effective in motivating NCS students to learn Chinese.
  3. Story-telling:We tell stories to instill an interest of learning Chinese in NCS students and help them learn basic words and phrases used in everyday life.
  4. Study buddy:We encourage local children to make friends with NCS to support the integration of NCS into the classroom and promote their Chinese language skills.
